Mr and Mrs Hudd are celebrating their Ruby Wedding Anniversary at Elaine's house. Relations and friends of the family are invited along to share the caviar and to toast this odd-ball couple with champagne. However a creaking floorboard and the odd behaviour of the party members makes the day most memorable - for all the wrong reasons. As the celebrations progress, the tangled web of their lives is skilfully revealed to the audience. This acerbic comedy is both amusing and touching in it's shrewd characterisation.
