Rex has been acting since 1984. His first major role was as The King in “The King and I” for the Otamatea Repertory Theatre in Northland. Many major roles have followed since then including King Arthur in “Camelot,” President Peron in “Evita” and Billy Flynn in “Chicago.” On TV, Rex has appeared in “Street Legal,” “Mercy Peak” and four times on “Shortland Street.” He has also appeared in many TV commercials and most recently as the Latin Dancer for Lotto’s ‘Big Wednesday.’ Rex’s film performances include three “48 Hour” films and him being the mayor of New York in Peter Jackson’s, “King Kong.” |
