After discovering his newfound passion for theatre, Leand has been actively involved in several productions during the past two years. Since his debut on stage in the brilliant production of 'Beauty and the Beast', he has been cast in Aaron Tindell’s revue 'The Red Chair', 'Ragtime the Musical' in concert, and was nominated earlier this year for ‘Best Supporting Male Actor’ at the Northern Area Performance Theatre Awards (NAPTA) for his portrayal of ‘Ritchie Valens’ in 'The Buddy Holly Story'.
“The Laramie Project” is his first play here in New Zealand, and Leand is so proud to be a part of this amazing production, sharing it with an incredible cast, production team, an awesome director, and of course, Ellerslie Theatrical Society. Leand owes his thanks and gratitude to all the individuals who believed in him and have helped him with their advice, support and encouragement. Being blissfully single, he still hopes his involvement in the theatre might increase his chance of dating.
