Tim Whale has been acting in various productions since 2000, most notably with the University of Auckland German Drama Company - theatre for German speakers entirely in German - which he has been involved with since 2002. Consequently when the opportunity arose to act in English for once, he jumped at the chance.
The roles Tim has held include the leads in German favourites, such as Die Feuerzangenbowle and Biographie: Ein Spiel and held his own as Sir Toby Belch in Twelfth Night for Breaking Legs Theatre in 2009 and much earlier as Prospero in Return to the Forbidden Planet in 2000.
This production of 'The History Boys' is Tim's first with ETS.
