Usually on stage as a musician, Chris is a jazz pianist and has also played keyboards with several Auckland indie-pop/rock acts. Though he has been sporadically involved in theatre through his youth, Chris now takes the opportunity to combine the two aspects in the role as student pianist Scripps.
His theatre experience consists of taking part in the Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Competition during high school, and more recently acting in the University of Auckland German Drama Company's 2009 production of Don Juan: oder die Liebe zur Geometrie by Max Frisch - in which he played multiple parts, entirely in German.
Otherwise, Chris is currently a 3rd year student of Linguistics at the University of Auckland. Rather appropriately, he himself has ambitions to try for Oxford after his Bachelors Degree in Auckland, hoping to read for a Masters Degree at Oxford's coveted Faculty of Linguistics, Philology & Phonetics.
This production of The History Boys is Chris' first with ETS.
