Max Golding

Max & Sue Golding have been involved with a variety of theatre in Auckland for many years, covering all sorts from Greek tragedy to farce. They have shared the stage many times, latterly in Roger Hall’s “Spreading Out”, “The Winslow Boy” and last year in the Dolphin Theatre production of “Laying The Ghost”. At ETS they both appeared in Sam Winer’s production of “The Ladies of The Camellias”, playing the diva actress Eleanora Duse and her hapless leading man Ando. Also for ETS in recent years, Max has been on stage there in “Disposing of the Body” and “Picasso at the Lapin Agile” while Sue has appeared in “The Handyman”, “The Reluctant Debutante” and “The Constant Wife”. Performing “Talking Heads” realises a long-held ambition – along with Maxine and Dugald - to stage their own version of the work of a great playwright and do it justice. Max has played principal roles in Separate Tables, The Women of Troy, Habeus Corpus, Anthony and Cleopatra, Map of the Heart, Joyful and Triumphant, Gliding On, and The Winslow Boy.
