Kirsty Hamilton

Kirsty Hamilton graduated from toi whakaari, the New Zealand Drama School, in 1992. Since then she has been working as a professional actress in theatre, film and television in New Zealand and Britain.

Notable highlights for Kirsty have been playing Juliet in ‘Romeo and Juliet’ at Centrepoint Theatre and Rosalind in ‘As You Like It’ at VUW ‘Summer Shakespeare’ directed by Miranda Harcourt. She was also Mouse in ‘Roimata’ at Centrepoint and Taki Rua with Jim Moriaty. Her film debut was as Grace in the New Zealand Feature film 'Saving Grace'(1997). Most recently she played Dromio of Ephesus in Auckland University's ‘Summer Shakespeare’, Joan in 'Is' at the Herald Theatre.

Kirsty has travelled and taught drama in the US for six months in 1998. She has been teaching drama since in Edinburgh, London and New Zealand. She is currently rehearsing for two plays; ‘Lost Girls' for the Wellington Fringe Festival and ‘The Weir’ for Ellerslie Theatrical Society. Kirsty has just obtained the SGCNZ London Globe Artistic fellowship for the month of August 2007.
