It may come as a surprise to know that this is Darren’s first show with Ellerslie Theatre Company and at the Stables Theatre even though he has been involved with theatre around Auckland for about 24 years. Usually seen onstage playing character roles in musicals like ‘Spamalot’ or unseen as stage crew in the recent ‘Miss Saigon’ at The Civic, he has been embracing the challenge of comedy and drama in recent years. Darren is “stoked” to be part of the team bringing the festival to fruition and is revelling in the challenge of the role of Troy in The Seat of Power.
