Steve is originally from Christchurch where he trained and had over twenty-five years experience in the theatre and film industries, both as a performer and behind-the-scenes. He moved up to Auckland nearly four years ago for a change of lifestyle and a bit of a career re-alignment. Since settling, he has taken to the stage again and has most recently appeared in 'The Glass Menagerie' for Dolphin Theatre and 'Man Bits' for Carpe Vita.
Other stage highlights over the years have included, Mozart in 'Amadeus', Mortimer Brewster in 'Arsenic & Old Lace', Chino in 'West Side Story' and numerous roles in various Outdoor Summer Shakespeare productions. This is the second time Steve has appeared in a staged production of 'The Winter's Tale' and he is relishing the opportunity to approach the play and its beautiful tragi-comic complexity once again.
