A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away Wayne first caught the acting bug. Since that first contagion at Massey High School he has sought treatment from many specialists, including Sheila Summers, Raymond Hawthorne and Murray Edmond. Unfortunately, he was not cured and went on to complete a Diploma in Drama at the University of Auckland and carved out a niche playing a range of fractious characters on stage and TV.

Some of his favourite stage roles have been as the seductive serial killer Dan in ‘Night Must Fall’, Vladimir in ‘Waiting For Godot’, and Vincent van Gogh in ‘Vincent & Theo’. His favourite performance on film is as Bruce, the homophobic skinhead, in Patrick Graham’s short splatter comedy ‘Stag Night’.

Wayne would like to thank Ellerslie Theatrical Society for this opportunity to return to the stage after a long break away from acting, and Bruce, who has assembled a wonderful cast, and whose talent and vision has nurtured his performance.
